MIP: “Pilot” of military TV series “ATOstories” зresented in Kyiv

On 11 July 2019, the premiere screening of the pilot episode of “ATOstories”, an adventure military TV series produced with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, took place in the conference hall of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine.

“Although television is the principal communication channel, there are few stories about war on our TV channels, let alone stories not about the sufferings of the Ukrainian people but of its victories. The creation of “ATOstories” arose from the concept of creating a nice comedy TV series. We would very much like to have as many such films as possible,” the State Secretary of the Ministry, Artem Bidenko, was quoted as saying.

The film was produced by Mainstream Pictures, a film company, with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy and the National Guard and with the assistance of Joint Victory, an NGO.

The presentation was attended by the leading cast of the film—Oleksandr Piskunov, Artem Martynishyn, and Volodymyr Hladkyi; the director Denys Tarasov; producers Taras Bosak and Artem Koliubaiev; and Volodymyr Bulba, the producer and author of “ATOstories”, a book published with the Ministry’s support, on which the film was based.
