Commander of National Guard of Ukraine took part in the second UN Summit with the participation of heads of police departments (COPS-2018)

 

Overall, 122 member states representatives took part in the summit.

 

During the event need to increase national contingents and staff in United Nations peacekeeping and security missions was actively discussed.

 

It was emphasized on joint standards for peacekeepers training, increasing of participation of women in United Nations peacekeeping and security missions, and correlation of men and women in peacekeeping missions to parity rate.

 

Issues of counter-terrorism activities in United Nations peacekeeping and security missions were mentioned as well.

 

In addition, at the beginning of the summit, representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine met with its colleagues from FIEP – Gendarmerie of Romania (Commander of Romanian Gendarmerie- Colonel Georg-Sebastian Kucos) and Carabinieri troops of Italy (head of the regional department, Lieutenant-General Iliot Tissery).
